Tutorial, Yellow Glow

This one wasn't requested but hey, I just kinda like it. :) Hope it helps someone out.

Going from this: to this:

Copy and paste the image onto a 100x100px
Position as desired.
Sharpen (use Shift+Ctrl+F to adjust as needed).

STEP 1.
Adjustments, Levels...
16, 1.82, 180
Flatten. This is your base layer.

STEP 2.
On your base layer - Image, Adjustments, Variations...
more yellow, more red, more yellow, lighter.

STEP 3.
Add 2 new layers, fill both with #000E38 and set both to exclusion 100%.

STEP 4.
Add a new layer, fill with #FFD200 and set to multiply 35%.

STEP 5.
Duplicate the base layer , move it on top. Set to soft light 51%.

I then added the text "looking for hard candy" in the font 'Rage Italic' text and placed it on a #E25A00 box layer. Finally I linked those two layers and rotated them.

adding the text box...
Hi there, glad you liked it. Ok... my recommedation would be to add whatever text you want to the icon first. Then create a new later under your text layer.

Select the rectangle tool from the tools palette. Then in the very top left of the screen there are 3 buttons, if you hover over them you'll see they're called -

Shape Layers
Paths
Fill Pixels

Select Shape Layers (the one on the left) and on your new layer draw out the box behind the text. The reason I said to choose Shape Layers is this - once your box is in, if you click on the box layer in the layers pallette (it should look like a block of colour with a layer mask) you can bring up the colour picker and tweak the colour to your hearts content.

When you're happy with it, either merge the box and text together or link them in the layers patlette. Then Ctrl+T and rotate them slightly.

If that's not very clear let me know and I'll add some screen caps for you.
